Safe Gatherings
Because we value the safety of all those in our community, we require boundary awareness and abuse prevention training, and background checks for all volunteers, staff, and clergy that work with children, youth and vulnerable adults. To do this we use an organization called Safe Gatherings. Safe Gatherings is a biblically-based boundary awareness and abuse prevention program developed to certify volunteer workers, staff and clergy, enabling them to work with children, youth and vulnerable adults. By completing this certification program, individuals are authorized to work with children, youth and vulnerable adults in any church-related setting within the Great Plains Annual Conference.
